AASA Partner Tracks Districts’ Graduates

AASA has a partnership with a firm that runs a nationwide research and reporting system on high school graduates’ outcomes.

The National Student Clearinghouse is a member of the AASA School Solutions Center. Its system, known as Student Tracker 2.0, provides high schools and school districts with continuing collegiate enrollment, progression and completion statistics on their alumni. School system leaders can learn which students went on to college, where they enrolled and whether they graduated with a degree.

The clearinghouse’s national database contains student records on more than 92 percent of higher education enrollment nationwide.

The clearinghouse’s executive director of the research center, Donald Hossler, described how several school districts are using the firm’s tracking services in a column appearing in The School Administrator’s February 2011 issue.
