He brings a wealth of expertise to AASA, including a collaborative assembly of luminaries in the education and technology fields and an operations team with extensive experience in education innovation.

Kristen DiCerboKristen DiCerbo, Khan Academy
Kristen DiCerbo is the chief learning officer at Khan Academy, a nonprofit dedicated to providing a free world-class education to anyone, anywhere. She is responsible for developing and implementing a research-based teaching and learning strategy for Khan Academy’s offerings in order to improve student and teacher engagement and outcomes. Prior to Khan Academy, she was vice-president of learning research and design at Pearson, served as a research scientist supporting teaching and learning in the Cisco Networking Academies, and worked as a school psychologist in an Arizona school district.

 

 

Kim MajerusKim Majerus, Amazon Web Services
Kim Majerus is the vice president, global education, U.S. state and local government, in the worldwide public sector at Amazon Web Services (AWS). Her sales organization includes EdTech and GovTech independent software vendors (ISVs), solution and vertical strategy leaders who focus on health and human services, justice and public safety, transportation and the internet of things for state and local government customers. Prior to joining AWS, Kim spent 16 years at Cisco Systems, as vice president of Cisco Public Sector for the U.S. State, local and education market segment.

 

Serena Sacks-MandelSerena Sacks-Mandel, Microsoft
Serena Sacks-Mandel is the worldwide chief technology and transformation officer at Microsoft for the education industry. Prior to joining Microsoft, she was the chief information officer at two unique technically advanced large public-school districts where she enabled student centric teaching and learning which resulted in significant improvements in student outcomes. Prior to pivoting to education, she has led innovation teams at IBM, Walt Disney World and HMH, and provided management consulting support for many other organizations.

Shantanu SinhaShantanu Sinha, Google
Shantanu Sinha is the VP and GM of Google for Education. In addition to bringing Google products like Workspace to schools, he has lead the build of educational products such as Google Classroom, which helps over 150 million students, teachers and education leaders worldwide, and new experiences like Practice Sets and Read Along, demonstrating the power of artificial intelligence for teaching and learning. Before Google, Shantanu was the founding president and chief operating officer at Khan Academy, where he helped build an organization that helped make personalized learning globally accessible and free.
