Understanding the Landscape of Professional Learning for Educational Leaders

How can we build toward stronger, more coherent professional learning systems for school leaders?

This session shares findings from a recent report, commissioned by the Wallace Foundation, on how school principals learn over the course of their careers.

Based on interviews with dozens of principals coupled with data from a nationally representative survey, we'll explore how principals learn, what content they feel gets the most and least coverage, and what additions would be most useful for their day-to-day practice.

It will offer ideas for school districts seeking to design learning systems that can better support the essential work of school principals.
