Alexandria, Va. – Jan. 9, 2023 – The four finalists for the 2023 National Superintendent of the Year® will participate in a panel discussion on current trends in education Thursday, Jan. 12, at 3 p.m. (ET), at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C. Education Week’s Caitlynn Peetz will moderate the panel.
Daniel A. Domenech, executive director of AASA, The School Superintendents Association, will provide opening remarks. Members of the media are invited to attend. Announced on Announced on December 19 19, the four finalists for the 2023 National Superintendent of the Year® are:
- PJ Caposey, Meridian Community Unit School District #223, Stillman Valley, Ill.
- Matthew Hillmann, Northfield Public Schools, ISD 659, Northfield, Minn.
- Kevin McGowan, Brighton Central Schools, Rochester, N.Y.
- Trent North, Douglas County School System, Douglasville, Ga.
