Through the Trust for Insuring Educators, a program administered by Forrest T. Jones and Co., AASA members have access to excellent insurance plans designed especially for their insurance needs.

The following optional programs provide coverage for AASA members. Some insurance programs may not be available in a few states or to residents of a foreign country. Term Life Insurance - Special for new AASA members!

New members, under 60 years of age, can request to receive free $30,000 term life insurance coverage for one full year. Program details and an enrollment form are included in the new membership packet.

This affordable plan is designed to meet the needs of private practice educators who are not directly employed by a school district. This plan offers quality liability protection for you. It is available to individuals, partnerships or corporations. An "Optional Off Premises Liability" endorsement is now available to members.

Evaluation Service for Long-Term Care Insurance

Members, their spouses and parents can receive a personalized, no-obligation benefit and price comparison of plans from several top-rated insurance companies. Selected plans cover home health care, assisted living and nursing home expenses. Special member discounts are available on some plans.

Disability Income Protection

If you can’t work due to a covered disability, you can still receive up to two-thirds of your salary until age 65.

Cancer Plan

Most health plans won’t cover all the costs of today’s cancer treatments. This plan pays you cash benefits in addition to any other insurance you may have. A wide range of expenses are covered including preventive procedures, such as mammograms, even when you don’t have cancer. As a member, your entire family can receive up to $500,000 in benefits.

Accidental Death and Dismemberment Insurance

This policy pays up to $300,000 for death from any covered accident. It pays double for common carrier or profession-related travel accidents. Family coverage is available. Excellent rates for AASA members.
