Kristen Ferris

Kristen leads ERS’ work to help school systems rethink how high school is organized to support redesigned student and teacher experiences. She leads ERS’ R&D around new high school designs, and supports partners in reorganizing systems, structures, and resource use at the school and system level. Prior to joining ERS in August of 2010, Kristen served as Director of Accountability for the Chicago Public Schools’ Office of Research, Evaluation, and Accountability. In that role she led the design of the district’s new school performance management system. She also taught 7th grade in Chicago Public Schools as a Teach for America corps member.
