Jenette Fruit

Superintendent, Earlville C.U.S.D. 9 (Ill.)

Jenette R. Fruit serves as the Superintendent of Earlville Community Unit School District 9 in Illinois. Originally from West Chicago, Fruit earned masters degrees in School Administration and Literacy before completing her Superintendent Certification at Western Illinois University. She joined the Earlville school system in 2008 as a third-grade teacher, later advancing to roles as Title I Director, Curriculum Director, and serving for ten years as the Junior High and High School Principal, where she successfully spearheaded initiatives to significantly improve student attendance and engagement. In December 2025, the school board appointed her to a three-year contract as the district’s Superintendent starting in 2026–2027 school year. Fruit currently resides in Earlville with her husband, Nathan, and their three sons.
