Debbie Magee
Debbie Magee joined AASA in 2017 after initially working for over a year as an AASA consultant. As the director of the leadership network, she leads the overall professional learning program coordination, manages the life cycle of programs, and manages the department budget, contracts, grants, and partner support. Debbie works with program leads planning annual agendas for programs and represents AASA during site visits hosted in districts across the country.
Prior to joining AASA, Debbie worked in student affairs for several higher education institutions including University of Georgia, University of North Carolina Wilmington, Miami University, as well as the Institute for Shipboard Education on Semester at Sea. Debbie has her master’s degree in education from the University of Georgia and her bachelors in business administration marketing from the University of Kentucky. Debbie has moved extensively growing up as a military dependent and then marrying an Army officer. She has four children with her husband, Robert.
