Cari Buehler
Cari Buehler is a dedicated individual who pursued her educational journey at Bowling Green State University. There, she obtained a BA in Education with a specialized focus in mathematics and technology. After graduation, she ventured into the realm of teaching, imparting knowledge in middle school math, science, health, and 5th-grade. In 2005, she earned her MA in Administration and Supervision from Bowling Green, solidifying her commitment to academic excellence. Driven by her desire to make a significant impact on the upcoming generation of leaders, Cari undertook additional coursework to obtain her principal and superintendent licenses.
Over the last 20 years Cari has served in various leadership positions, from elementary principal and district testing coordinator to taking on the responsibilities of a high school principal. Cari is currently serving in her 8th year as the proud Superintendent of Danbury Local Schools. Beyond her academic and professional pursuits, Cari has embarked on a journey of personal growth. She has garnered recognition as a coach, teacher, trainer, and speaker through the prestigious John C Maxwell certification program. In 2023 Cari was awarded the BASA Betsey Cowles Women in Leadership Award for outstanding leadership and impactful role model for women in education.
Currently, she’s in her 4th year of co-facilitating the National Women's Leadership Consortium through AASA and is a selected mentor for the AASA Aspiring Superintendent Academy, a testament to her dedication to empowering women in leadership positions. Cari's influence extends far beyond her immediate sphere. She has taken her experiences and insights to local, state, and national platforms, where she engages as a presenter, sharing her passion with others.
Outside of her professional endeavors, Cari is currently pursuing her Doctorate in Education. Through her platform, Evolving Leaders, she shares her work by speaking and training leaders on local, state, and national stages. She also cherishes time spent with her four children and extended family and finds balance and joy in reading, running, riding her Peloton and baking.
At the core of Cari’s life mission is a faith-driven purpose rooted in relationships and service. Guided by her motto, “every child, every day,” she believes true leadership means encouraging and empowering one another while intentionally lifting up the next generation of leaders. For Cari, education is not just about doing school together—it’s about experiencing life together through connection, compassion, and shared purpose.
