Amii Thompson

Amii Thompson currently serves as the Superintendent of the Bainbridge Island School District, a position she has held since December 2023. A long-time leader within the district, she previously served as Assistant Superintendent, Executive Director of Elementary Teaching & Learning, and Principal at x̌alilc Elementary School.

Amii is a systems-level thinker who practices student-centered and human-centered leadership. She is deeply committed to ensuring equity and access for all learners.

She graduated from the AASA Aspiring Superintendent National Academy in 2024, holds a Superintendent Certificate from Washington State University, a Principal and Program Administrator Certificate from the University of Washington, and a Master of Arts in Teaching from Oregon State University.
