Most superintendents who engage in public conversations about equity indicated they lead those conversations, according to The American Superintendent: 2020 Decennial Study, produced by AASA.

The study’s co-authors say the finding reinforces recurrent themes about the importance of the superintendent as initiator, discourse facilitator and networker.
