FCCThe Education and Libraries Networks Coalition (EdLiNC) issued a statement in response to this week’s 5th Circuit Court decision in Consumers Research et. al v FCC. The decision rules the funding mechanism of the Universal Service Fund—which provides for E-Rate, a program critical for school internet access—unconstitutional.

Ohio Superintendent to Appear on Capitol Hill to Advocate for Federal Education FundingMichael J. Barnes, superintendent of Mayfield City Schools in Mayfield Heights, Ohio, and a member of AASA’s Executive Committee, is heading to Capitol Hill today in defense of public education funding and to raise the alarm about the possible reduction in non-defense discretionary funding levels (NDD) in Fiscal Year 2025.
