STEM Leadership Consortium

Lego Robot and Students

The purpose of the STEM Leadership Consortium is to develop and support a cadre of STEM focused superintendents who understand the complexity of school culture and the urgency of increasing student interest in STEM fields.

By joining STEM Leadership Consortium, you will:

  • Learn ways to build a STEM-based framework/curriculum to build pathways to local industry
  • Use research-based STEM Leadership indicators to develop, evaluate, and improve STEM initiatives in your district, with the opportunity to be nationally recognized as a STEM Certified district
  • Learn about higher education STEM partnerships
  • Develop a deeper understanding of how STEM indicators play out in different contexts within your district
  • Learn with and from visionary leaders who are at every phase of implementing these new measures of success for their students
  • Work with leaders across the country to more authentically and appropriately assess and demonstrate high school graduates' readiness to survive and thrive in their futures
  • Promote STEM literacy and equity for all students in K-12 schooling

Who should participate?

Any district leader who is interested in furthering the STEM Leadership initiative and mission, particularly superintendents, assistant superintendents, district office staff and experienced principals.
