Three AASA Members Honored

edweek leaders to learn from logoThree AASA members who serve as superintendents in Kentucky, New Jersey and Pennsylvania have been named 2018 Leaders to Learn From by Education Week.

The leading trade publication annually recognizes identifies some of the nation’s most exceptional school district leaders and shines a spotlight on their extraordinary impact on the success of educators and students. Twelve educators are being honored in 2018.

The three AASA honorees, who will be feted at a Washington, D.C., event April 11-12, are as follows:

  • Emmanuel Caulk, superintendent of Fayette County schools in Lexington, Ky. (and AASA member since 2017, who is being feted for districtwide improvement;
  • Joseph Meloche, superintendent in Cherry Hill, N.J. (and AASA member since 2015), who is being honored for elevating student voice in school affairs; and
  • Michelle Saylor, superintendent in Bellefonte, Pa. (and AASA member since 2010), who is being recognized for her work in global education.
