LeadershipAcadFrameworkAlexandria, Va. – May 11, 2017 – AASA, The School Superintendents Association, is pleased to announce the launch of a new professional development program designed to build models of positive leadership cultures in our nation’s public school districts.

Building on the success of the AASA/Minnesota Aspiring Superintendents Program, the AASA Leadership Academy was created through a partnership with the National Joint Powers Alliance and GiANT Worldwide. The consortium will help school leaders raise their personal leadership capacity, accelerate the growth of healthy, professional cultures within their respective organizations and sustain these transformations over time.

“The job of the superintendent continues to be more challenging every day, which is why AASA’s Leadership Academy will serve as an important lever in preparing future leaders of public education. This initiative will accelerate the growth of healthy cultures in our school systems,” said Daniel A. Domenech, executive director, AASA. “We thank NJPA, our premier School Solutions partner, as well as GiANT Worldwide for their support. It’s all about building the superintendency and doing what is best on behalf of our students.”

Key themes the Academy will focus on include:
