The Power of Shared Reading: AASA School Solutions Partner Featured on Education Talk Radio

Three Texas superintendents described the power of a shared reading experience on Education Talk Radio program, Monday, October 17. Superintendents Diane Frost (Corsicana ISD), Ricardo Lopez (Mission CISD), and Jose Parra (Irving ISD) discussed their leadership of the forthcoming Texas Reads One Book program in April 2017.

“The feedback (on the program) was astronomically positive,” said Lopez. “It’s about engaging with the text and loving what you do. These books become memorable. We’re building home libraries.”

Tens of thousands of families across the state are expected to take part as participating elementary schools and all read The Lemonade War at the same time over a three-week period. Listen to the archived program here. Learn more about Read to Them.
