Alexandria, Va. – Sept. 15, 2016 – Today, AASA, The School Superintendents Association, launched a partnership with HBCU Today, an online portal containing detailed information about our nation’s 105 Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs).

“For nearly 200 years, HBCUs have served as a vital force in teaching, research and public service,” said Daniel A. Domenech, executive director, AASA. “AASA is proud to introduce our new School Solutions partner. This digital resource significantly enhances awareness of the history of HBCUs and their educational opportunities.”

Published by Dallas-based Black Educational Events (BEE), HBCU Today highlights the rich histories of these institutions, including their academic and athletic programs, as well as student-run organizations.

“Our mission has always been to raise awareness of the unique educational and cultural opportunities available at our nation’s HBCUs,” said John Fleming, BEE president and CEO. “With AASA providing youth and their parents with information about HBCUs, the likelihood of more students pursuing post-secondary educational opportunities at these esteemed colleges and universities increases.”
