AASA Leadership, Superintendent of the Year Celebrate National Teacher Appreciation Day at White House Ceremony

Alexandria, Va. – May 3, 2016 – Hundreds of educators are convening at the White House today to honor the 2016 National Teacher of the Year and celebrate the outstanding contributions and the progress being made in education nationwide.  

Representing AASA, The School Superintendents Association, will include Daniel A. Domenech, AASA executive director; David R. Schuler, AASA president-elect and superintendent of High School District 214 in Arlington Heights, Ill.; Alton Frailey, AASA president-elect and superintendent of Katy Independent School District in Katy, Texas; Thomas Tucker, AASA 2016 National Superintendent of the Year and superintendent of Princeton City Schools in Cincinnati, Ohio; and, Steve Webb, AASA 2016 Superintendent of the Year finalist and superintendent of Vancouver Public Schools in Vancouver, Wash.
