Alexandria, Va. – January 14, 2021 – AASA, The School Superintendents Association, announced today the recipients of the 2021 Helping Kids Mini-Grants, a mini-grant program funded by AASA, through a partnership with Sourcewell, to help meet the urgent equity, connectivity and virtual-learning needs of individual students and their families.

The grants have been increased to $80,000 in funds broken up into 32 grants to school districts across the country.

“Part of AASA’s mission is to respond to school districts and the students they serve who need financial support, which is why the AASA-Sourcewell Mini-Grant Program was created,” said Daniel A. Domenech, executive director, AASA. “We thank Sourcewell for making this relief effort possible. This partnership speaks to the unparalleled commitment being made to school districts across the country.”

“The mini-grant program is a way for AASA and Sourcewell to reach out and make a positive connection where students and parents can benefit,” said Chad Coauette, CEO and executive director, Sourcewell. “As we continue to work with AASA, we are pleased that we are creating unique ways to help lead great schools and develop great communities.
