AASA Members Among Education Week’s 2019 Leaders to Learn From

Alexandria, Va. – April 3, 2019 –Education Week is honoring two AASA members in its 2019 Leaders To Learn From program, which identifies some of the nation’s most exceptional school district leaders.

The trade publication’s newly issued Leaders To Learn From report shines a spotlight on:

  • Suzanne Lacey, superintendent, Talladega County Schools, Talladega, Ala.
  • Roberto Padilla, superintendent, Newburgh Enlarged City School District, Newburgh, N.Y.

Lacey and Padilla will be two of the nine honorees at a forum on May 2-3 at the Hyatt Regency Crystal City Hotel in Arlington, Va.

“These leading-edge district leaders seized on smart ideas, executed them skillfully, and are seeing promising results for students and schools,” Education Week reported in announcing this year’s honorees.
