AASA Awards Mini-Grants to School Districts Across the Nation

Phoenix, Ariz. – Feb. 12, 2016 – AASA, The School Superintendents Association, announced today the recipients of the 2016 Helping Kids Program, an urgent-need mini grant. The program is funded by AASA through a partnership with the National Joint Powers Alliance.

The grant can be used for immediate needs that directly impact students. Grantees’ requests have ranged from boots, coats and non-perishable sundries to dental care and even temporary housing stipends.

The announcement was made at AASA’s National Conference on Education where hundreds of superintendents have convened in Phoenix, Ariz., to address some of the most critical issues in education today.  

The winning districts include:
