Phoenix, Ariz. – Feb. 9, 2016 – From beginning to end, journalists, communications officers and education stakeholders can follow activities at AASA’s National Conference on Education in Phoenix, Ariz., through Conference Daily Online.

AASA, founded in 1865, is the premier organization for our nation’s superintendents serving thousands of education leaders throughout the United States. The Feb. 11-13 event brings public education’s best thought leaders together under one roof to discuss the most critical issues facing our schools.

“AASA’s primary audience consists of the individuals who comprise the leadership of America’s school district—the foremost thought leaders in public education,” said Jay P. Goldman, editor-in-chief of Conference Daily Online. “Given the wealth of information that will be shared at our annual conference, Conference Daily Online will provide conference attendees as well as those unable to join us with an opportunity to share this important information widely.”

The award-winning e-publication will provide a comprehensive look at the conference proceedings, including coverage of key speakers, award winners and AASA governance activities, plus photo and video galleries. The online site will also include daily blog postings by four AASA members and a daily Twitter feed (#NCE16).

During the first General Session (Thursday, Feb. 11), AASA’s 2016 National Superintendent of the Year will be announced. (VIDEO: View the four finalists.)

Themed “Leading for Excellence,” the conference is addressing issues such as the Common Core State Standards, governance and district management, healthy school environments, innovative technology, instructional leadership, personalizing education, poverty and equity, and superintendent/school board relationships.
