Alexandria, Va. – (July 8, 2014) – AASA, The School Superintendents Association today, announced a new asset for its members and stakeholders across the nation: an innovative mobile app.

AASA, which has long been a voice of leadership in education, unveiled the app at its 2014 Legislative Advocacy Conference as a way for members and stakeholders to stay informed and network within the organization. Under AASA’s leadership, the app will provide members of the association with key information such as membership and leadership directories, association schedules and event agendas, as well as news and updates from its headquarters in Alexandria, Va.

“One of our chief concerns is getting information out quickly to our members,” said Daniel A. Domenech, executive director, AASA. “We are thrilled to empower our members as well as advocates of public education with an easy, all-in-one-place platform for them to access the information and connections that are at the very heart of their interest in our organization.”

The AASA app was developed by ParentLink, the nation’s leading provider of school district apps. “We are honored to have been selected to power the AASA app,” said John Graff, president, ParentLink. “Our mission is to improve learning and AASA is such an important support system for education leaders. This app will be a valuable resource in helping school superintendents overcome the enormous challenges they face on a day-to-day basis. We are grateful that our technology can be a part of it.”

The app is compatible with both iPhone and Android devices and is available as a free download on the iOS App store, the Google Play store or as a smartphone-ready web app for all other users.
