2013 Superintendent of the Year Finalists Discuss Education Issues

Alexandria, Va., January 3, 2013. The four finalists for the 2013 American Association of School Administrators’ National Superintendent of the Year will participate in a panel discussion on current trends in education as seen from the front lines on Tuesday, January 8, 2013, beginning at 10 a.m. in the Lisagor Room of the National Press Club, 529 14th Street Northwest, Washington D.C. A question and answer period will follow the panel discussion. The panel will be moderated by Rich Bagin, Executive Director of the National School Public Relations Association. Members of the media are invited to attend.

The AASA National Superintendent of the Year program is celebrating its 26th year, honoring the contributions and leadership of public school superintendents.

• Mark Edwards, superintendent, Mooresville Graded School District, Mooresville, N.C.
• C.J. Huff, superintendent, Joplin Public Schools, Joplin, Mo.
• Maryalice Russell, superintendent, McMinnville School District, McMinnville, Or.

AASA will announce the 2013 National Superintendent of the Year on February 21, 2013, at the National Conference on Education in Los Angeles, Calif.
