Two Californians Grab Women in School Leadership Honors

A superintendent and a central-office administrator, both from California, received AASA’s Women in School Leadership award at the 2nd General Session on Friday.

In the superintendent category, Marilyn Shepherd of the Monterey Peninsula Unified School District in Monterey, Calif., earned the honor.

In the principal/central-office personnel category, the winner was Lisa Marie Gonzales, coordinator of curriculum and instruction in Santa Clara Office of Education in Santa Clara, Calif.
