National School Communications Group Honors Two AASA Publications

nspra 2019 award coversThe National School Public Relations Association has given AASA's School Administrator magazine and the 2019 edition of Conference Daily Online the Award of Excellence, the top award, in NSPRA's 2019 Publications and Digital Media Awards program.

NSPRA's recognition is for two issues of the magazine (August 2018 on youth apprenticeships and February 2019 on student mental health). The conference publication, produced over four consecutive days at AASA's National Conference on Education in Los Angeles in February, was honored in the electronic newsletter category.     

Jay P. Goldman serves as editor of both publications. Liz Griffin is managing editor of School Administrator magazine, and Juli Valentine is the managing editor of Conference Daily Online.

AASA submitted entries only in the two categories in which it earned top honors. NSPRA received 1,148 contest entries.

The only other professional associations to receive the Award of Excellence in the magazine category were the California School Boards Association and the Texas Association of School Boards. No other associations received the top award in the electronic newsletter category.
