Alexandria, Va. – Dec. 14, 2022 –AASA, The School Superintendents Association, is pleased to team up with ECRA Group to launch an adaptive cohort aimed at providing superintendents and other administrators with the necessary tools to accurately measure data and communicate progress toward district goals.

The cohort, Using Data Effectively for Strategic Monitoring, will be led by national experts in data science, while providing personalized consulting, professional development and a strategic dashboard tool.

“It is critically important that superintendents have access to as much data as available and have the opportunity to effectively analyze it in order to make appropriate decisions on behalf of their school communities and the students they serve,” said Daniel A. Domenech, executive director, AASA. “We feel our new cohort will help AASA members and their respective teams gain the personal training they need to scale up their approaches to measuring student success and the overall quality of the mission of their school systems.”

For more than 40 years, ECRA Group has partnered with school districts and educational leaders across the nation to build evidence-based practices that help bring their decisions into focus.

“We are excited to partner with AASA to help superintendents measure and communicate the great work they are leading in their communities,” said John Gatta, CEO, ECRA Group. “Learning to use data effectively for strategic monitoring is a skill that superintendents can develop to ensure energy and resources are directed at what truly matters for students.”

Superintendents in the program will:

  • Learn how to leverage benchmarks to enhance board understanding and
  • Develop and launch a strategic dashboard for their school district.

The program is designed exclusively for superintendents and has a rolling enrollment model, which includes:

  • Live virtual professional development sessions on a revolving topic schedule so superintendents can work at their own pace and attend sessions that are convenient;
  • Live virtual office hours to receive personalized consulting;
  • On-demand learning resources; and
  • License to the ECRA Strategic Dashboard.
