2014 Gubernatorial Elections

Gubernatorial elections will be held in 36 states in 2014, and some of them are already heating up. We are keeping up with the races in this table. Education issues have arisen in several races, such as in Pennsylvania, where public school funding continues to be debated, and in Arkansas, where candidates are campaigning on expanding pre-k and school choice.

AASA will continue to follow these elections and update the table here. (updated 4/28/2014)

State of the State Addresses

AASA is following the State of the State addresses, and pulling out the education themes. Among the most frequently mentioned are early childhood education, education funding, Career and Technical Education, technology and connectivity, and workforce decelopment.
