The four finalists for 2010 AASA National Superintendent of the Year were announced on Dec. 17, 2009. The finalists were:

Joyce C. Levey	Elizabeth Molina Morgan	Walt Rulffes	Cynthia Stevenson

• Joyce C. Levey, Tuscaloosa City Schools, Alabama
• Elizabeth Molina Morgan, Washington County Public Schools, Maryland
• Walt Rulffes, Clark County School District, Nevada
• Cynthia Stevenson, Jefferson County Public Schools, Colorado

On Jan. 12, 2010, the four finalists participated in “Transforming Schools: Prescription for Success," a dialogue at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C., about what the Obama Administration and school system leaders must do to bring about change in public schools.
